harlem is...Dance is a newly expanded, interdisciplinary exhibition illuminating the history and power of dance. The exhibition includes an eclectic mix of visual interpretations inspired by dance themes by 14 emerging and established artists who live and/or work in Harlem. harlem is...Downtown, the largest exhibition by Community works, opening in Feburary of 2016 at historic Federal hall, celebrates the hsitory of Harlem's roots in downtown Manhattan in early New York and it's legacy of keeping alive it's identitiy, activism, and arts though the 20th centurry to the present. March 21, 2015: Join us for a "page to stage" interactive performance of acclaimed children's author and illustrator, Bryan Collier's book Uptown, by CW master teaching artist Daniel Carlton. It's a touching look at his beloved neighborhood though a child's eyes. More information soon.
