Theater Connections brings a dazzling array of affordable performing arts events to more than 80,000 students and community groups each year by partnering with major art and cultural venues in neighborhoods around New York City.

Through this presenting series, young students (from pre-K through 12th grade) and community groups experience highly-acclaimed music, dance and theater performances by celebrated and emerging artists.

Performances are offered at sites in and around the greater New York metropolitan area, ranging from neighborhood spaces to large professional venues. A listing of the sites that we currently use include:

Each event is selected to meet the needs of local schools and teachers while reflecting artistic and cultural diversity, cross-cultural representation, relevance to curricula, and connection to community and/or youth issues. Community Works' supplementary material, such as study guides, also strengthen students' experiences of these performances.
