FREEDOM FIGHTER: THE FANNIE LOU HAMER STORY-
This award-winning musical presentation by celebrity actress/ vocalist Mzuri Moyo captures a little known but important moment in history and lays it at your feet. Fannie Lou Hamer defined the term "Freedom Fighter". Born into Mississippi sharecropping poverty, Fannie Lou Hamer fought for the rights of African-Americans to vote, becoming a central figure in the civil rights movement. Grades 5-12
